If you have injured or suffer ongoing problems with your bones, joints, muscles, tendons or ligaments, Cheshire Medical Center’s orthopaedic experts are here to help.

Our orthopaedic surgeons, physician assistants (PAs) and supporting team use state-of-the-art techniques with shorter recovery time and less pain and scarring during recovery. We are committed to getting you back to the activities you enjoy—to your life—as soon as possible.

How we can help

Our large team has diverse specialties, from sports injury trauma and diabetic limb reconstruction to joint replacement and non-surgical arthritis treatments. Depending on the location and nature of your problem, a specialist and their team create a personalized treatment plan that works for you. Your team is with you every step of the way, from testing through rehabilitation.

Convenient orthopaedic care via Virtual Visits

Scheduling an assessment via Virtual Visit may be the best first step if you experience pain, swelling, or tingling associated with any of your joints, but do not need an Urgent Visit. Video visits on your smartphone or computer can be especially helpful for people with mobility problems and those who live in rural areas.

Sometimes follow-up appointments can also be conducted via virtual visits. However, treatment plans that involve bracing, physical therapy, or surgery will require you to travel to Cheshire Medical Center for in-person care.

Collaboration for the best care

For most orthopaedic problems, your diagnostic testing, surgery, recovery, and rehabilitation all happen right here with providers at Cheshire Medical Center. Our teams work together under one roof, so you have access to the best collaborative care, close to home.

For some problems, our team works closely with other orthopaedic specialists at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center to offer highly-specialized surgeries. Our team here in Keene may provide most of your care, but your surgery and immediate recovery will happen in Lebanon, NH. We try to keep your follow up care as close to home as possible, and you will still work with our rehabilitation therapists after your surgery.
