Cheshire Medical Center is a member of the Dartmouth Health system. Dartmouth Health is New Hampshire’s only academic health system and the state’s largest private employer. Being part of Dartmouth Health strengthens our ability to serve patients and families by providing access to a network of experts and facilities across the region, benefits our staff through additional opportunities, and provides collaborative expertise across the health system.
From our first Joint Operating Agreement in 1998 to formally joining the Dartmouth Health system in 2015, our partnership has always made us better. Cheshire is now a regional referral center within the system, which brings many benefits for our patients and staff.
Patients have the opportunity to consult with many highly qualified specialists across the system.
Professional collaboration with Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Clinics specialists, many of whom are affiliated with Dartmouth Health’s renowned academic medical center, significantly increases our capacity beyond our campus. Shared electronic records make the transition of care seamless. From neurology and cardiology to cancer, Cheshire patients can obtain second opinions and specialized treatment from hundreds of exceptionally qualified clinicians—without traveling into Boston.
Our relationship with Dartmouth Health connects Cheshire to resources that benefit our patients and staff, and keep our Medical Center strong.
Our participation in the system gives us access to a depth of resources that help improve our operations while enhancing our ability to serve the Monadnock Region.
