Every Wednesday in the fall and spring, a group of seniors meets to explore the Monadnock Region together. Joining Cheshire Walkers can help you increase your physical activity, foster social connection, and learn about the region’s rich history.
A great way to explore our community
Join the group for a series of easy-going walks and hikes throughout the Monadnock Region. Each is organized by Cheshire Medical Center, in partnership with the City of Keene Parks and Recreation Department. Some are led by landowners or passionate historians, others by community partners like Monadnock Conservancy. You may explore trails that aren’t generally open to the public, or you may learn something new about trails you have already enjoyed a hundred times.
Choose the difficulty level right for you
Each outing is rated according to difficulty and distance. Some locations have multiple trails with varying levels of difficulty depending on fitness levels. When choosing a walk to join, please be mindful of your own fitness level.
This program recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, providing over 250 guided walks and looking forward to many more! Explore some of the easiest walks around Cheshire County on your own.
