Cheshire Medical Center, a member of Dartmouth Health, has welcomed a third cohort of residents to its Family Medicine Residency program, adding six more providers to its staff.
To become a board-certified family physician, students must first complete medical school, earning a degree as a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO). After earning a degree, aspiring family physicians need to complete a three-year residency in family medicine. Cheshire welcomed its first cohort of residents in July 2024 and its second in July 2025.
The third class consists of: Millen Abselab, MD, Bradley Firchow, MD, Sara Honarparvaran, MD, Amanda Nattress, MD, Eliza (Brooke) Winter-Potter, DO and Kat Zeven, MD. These residents join Cheshire’s first two classes, bringing the program up to 17 residents.
“We are thrilled to welcome these six outstanding Family Medicine resident physicians to our program and the Monadnock Region. They are excellent physicians who are excited to practice and live in our community,” said Karl Dietrich, MD, MPH, director of Cheshire’s Family Medicine Residency program and primary care physician. “The arrival of our third class represents a major milestone in our residency program, and we are looking forward to continuing to expand primary care access and welcome new patients to Family & Community Care.”
Under the supervision of board-certified physicians, these residents will start seeing patients at the end of July as primary care providers in our Family & Community Care clinic on Maple Avenue in Keene.
Our new Family & Community Care facility opened in the fall of 2023 and is thoughtfully designed to support learning and serve our community with 27 exam rooms, telehealth support, integrated behavioral health and a simulation lab, as well as dedicated resident learning and social spaces.
Residents will also work in several other clinical settings at Cheshire under the supervision of clinicians in multiple specialty services. After completing their three-year residency, the residents will be able to work as independent family physicians.
