We want to positively impact our patients and help them lead healthy lives where they live, work, play and pray together throughout our community.
Maggie Graul, MPH, population health epidemiologist for Cheshire’s Center for Population HealthCheshire Medical Center, a member of Dartmouth Health, is releasing its latest Community Benefits Report, a snapshot of the hospital’s work to improve local health and wellness.
As a nonprofit healthcare provider, Cheshire is committed to using our resources to support the health of the community. One way we do this is through our Community Benefits programs, which are designed to provide strategic supports throughout the Monadnock Region.
These programs are based on a Community Health Needs Assessment of patients and local residents, conducted by Cheshire’s Center for Population Health every three years.
The previous assessment, conducted in 2022, identified four areas of focus for Cheshire’s team: improving healthcare access, behavioral health supports, aging population services and substance use disorder prevention and supports.
Cheshire’s latest Community Benefits Report highlights four programs from fiscal year 2024 that help address these issues to positively impact the health of our community members, in and out of the healthcare setting.
“We know that healthcare doesn’t just happen inside the four walls of a hospital or a clinic,” said Maggie Graul, MPH, population health epidemiologist for Cheshire’s Center for Population Health. “We want to positively impact our patients and help them lead healthy lives where they live, work, play and pray together throughout our community.”
