Cheshire Medical Center appoints new chief financial officer

Todd Roberts, MBA

Keene, NH — Cheshire Medical Center, a member of Dartmouth Health, has named Todd Roberts, MBA, as its Chief Financial Officer.

Roberts assumed the role on April 28, succeeding Daniel Gross, MBA, who retired from the position in May 2024. AnnMarie Coppo, MBA, senior director of financial planning and analysis, served as interim CFO.

“We are thrilled to welcome Todd to our leadership team at Cheshire Medical Center. He brings a wealth of experience in hospital finance to the role and has hit the ground running in Keene,” said President and CEO Joseph L. Perras, MD. “Todd is a thoughtful leader who seeks to build relationships across disciplines to get the work done.”

Though Roberts is new to Cheshire, he has long ties to the Dartmouth Health system.

Prior to joining Cheshire’s staff, Roberts most recently served as the vice president and chief financial officer of Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, a Dartmouth Health member. He had worked at Alice Peck Day for over a decade, holding prior roles of controller and director of financial services.

Before working at Alice Peck Day, Roberts was a financial analyst at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center in Windsor, VT, another Dartmouth Health member.

Roberts holds a Master of Business Administration in Organizational Leadership from Southern New Hampshire University in Hooksett and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, VT.

“I am excited to join an organization that has such a strong culture like Cheshire. The dedication and commitment demonstrated by the staff in serving the community is something that I admire and look forward to being part of,” Roberts said. “Ensuring financial sustainability and growth is crucial to provide a positive impact on the community we serve.”

The chief financial officer at Cheshire is a pivotal role that encompasses the overall financial management of the hospital. In this position, Roberts will collaborate closely with other Dartmouth Health system leaders to ensure the financial health and sustainability of the organization and will serve as a strategic partner in the hospital's growth and development.
