Your Safety is Our Priority

Since the start of the pandemic, Cheshire Medical Center has taken every measure to ensure a safe and clean experience for everyone. We are safely seeing patients at all our locations in Keene, Winchester and Walpole.

Here are just some of the ways we’re protecting you and others:

Screening

We have reduced access at some entrances on our main campus to ensure every person entering is screened, including all our staff.

We screen everyone entering our facilities for COVID-19 symptoms, travel, exposure to COVID-19, and attendance at group events. We will ask you to sanitize your hands and follow social distancing guidelines. If you do not have an approved mask of your own, we will give you one to wear at all times.

Cleaning

We’re thoroughly and continuously cleaning all of our areas.

Social Distancing

We have altered our scheduling to reduce the need for waiting areas, so social distancing is easy.

We have rearranged many public spaces and waiting areas so seating is at least 6 ft apart.

The Art Nichols Café is available for take-out only to patients and visitors, helping us enable social distancing at mealtimes.

Visitors and caregivers

We are frequently updating our restricted visitor and caregiver policy in response to COVID-19 conditions in our community. We have inpatient staff ready to help patients connect with loved ones via video or phone.

We request that any patients able to receive care without a required caregiver, do so.

Masks and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

All our staff are fully trained on proper precautions, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). All of our medical staff are wearing the appropriate level of PPE at all times, and we have plenty to cover all our needs.

Masks are mandatory for everyone at ALL times within Cheshire Medical Center facilities.

Virtual visits

We also offer convenient virtual visits from the comfort of your own home. This helps you stay home and it helps us maintain social distancing throughout our facilities.

If you have additional questions about your upcoming appointment or procedure, please contact your provider's office.

At Cheshire Medical Center and all of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health, your health and safety remain our number one priority. And that is something that will never change.
