Your Safety is Our Priority

Since the start of the pandemic, Cheshire Medical Center has taken every measure to ensure a safe and clean experience for everyone. We are safely seeing patients at all our locations in Keene, Winchester and Walpole.

Here are just some of the ways we’re protecting you and others:

Screening

We screen everyone entering our facilities. We will ask you to sanitize your hands and follow social distancing guidelines. If you do not have an approved mask of your own, we will give you one to wear at all times.

Learn more about screening for patients and caregivers.

Cleaning

We’re thoroughly and continuously cleaning all of our areas.

Social Distancing

We have altered our scheduling to reduce the need for waiting areas, so social distancing is easy.

The Art Nichols Café is available for take-out only to patients and visitors, helping us enable social distancing at mealtimes.

Visitors and caregivers

We are frequently updating our visitor and caregiver policy in response to COVID-19 conditions in our medical center, community and state—so please check before you arrive. We also have inpatient staff ready to help patients connect with loved ones via video or phone.

Masks and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Every person in a Cheshire Medical Center facility must wear a mask, even if fully vaccinated.

While the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention updated their guidance on mask use for individuals who are fully vaccinated, it is important to note that these recommendations apply only to non-healthcare settings. There are no changes at the present time to the CDC’s recommendations for health care settings

All Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health affiliates continue to require mask use inside all facilities at this time, without regard to vaccination status. Our policy will continue to apply to all D-H staff, patients, visitors, and any others entering our facilities. Learn more about masking at Dartmouth-Hitchcock locations.

Virtual visits

We also offer convenient virtual visits from the comfort of your own home.

If you have additional questions about your upcoming appointment or procedure, please contact your provider's office.

At Cheshire Medical Center and all of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health, your health and safety remain our number one priority. And that is something that will never change.
