Roland N. Chen, MD
Urology
After a procedure, I love hearing patients say, “I should’ve done that 5 years ago,” or “that wasn’t as bad as I expected!” We all know surgery can be unpleasant, to say the least. I do my best to ensure my procedures are minimally invasive for less pain and faster recovery. Modern scopes and robots allow me to achieve that goal.
I will never take shortcuts. I don’t approach things in a way that is simpler for me. My patients come first. That is why I communicate thoroughly and explain what they should expect following surgery. I’m told I’m easy to talk with. When my patients know what recovery looks like, they feel less anxious.
Ultimately, I treat patients the same way I want to be treated, whether in the office or the operating room. In my care, they’re treated like family.
